ARTIFACT: Early 1930's French Naval badge for F-Class Destroyer – Le Fantastique (The Whimsical). Le Fantastique DA-16 was launched for active duty in 1936 as part of the 10th Light Division (10th DL). The pin is beautifully enameled and shows a clipper ship against a field of cobalt blue with a large golden F running the height of the pin.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: DRAGO PARIS.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a French militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MAJX96 LIEX1/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows light wear and a heavy tarnish on reverse.
