ARTIFACT:

This is a circa World War II employee photo identification badge for Fitzimmons General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Fitzsimmons had first existed during World War I, but was reconstructed as an Army medical facility under the Works Project Administration of the 1930s. The badge is by A.E. Company of Utica, New York, and displays a photo taken by the United States Army Signal Corps of a bespectacled and serious employee.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass, paper, photograph, clear celluloid.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch, clip.

MARKINGS:
