This is a World War II-era hat badge for the Essex (England) Constabulary. The badge is sunburst-shaped with a crown at top and bears the words ESSEX CONSTABULARY encircling three swords.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:Badge has a 4-1/2" height and 3-1/2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Loops and a straight pin.
