This is a World War II Era Canton Illinois Police Chief Badge of James Smith who was Chief 1943 - 1945.
This Great Old Gold Plated Brass Badge by S.D.Childs is nicely named to Chief Smith on back. Smith again served as chief in 1952, and is presumed to have used this Badge then as well.
VINTAGE:
World War II era 1943 - 1945.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/4" in height x 2-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold plated brass with Enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.
