This is a sterling silver flight instructor cap badge for the Civil Aeronautics Administration. The badge reads CAA WAR TRAINING SERVICE and shows an Indigenous American bust flanked by wings at center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:1-7/8" diameter with slight jutting out for tips of wings.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:PAT. PEND. STERLING.
