ARTIFACT:

WWII Chinese aviation cadet sleeve patch, made in the United States. The sleeve patch is as worn by Chinese cadets during pilot training in the US and shows a sunburst flanked by a pair of spread wings embroidered on bright orange wool felt.

Circa WWII

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/2" in diameter

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Embroidered wool felt, cotton/polyester/silk thread, gauze backing

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn on.

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The patch shows minor to moderate storage wear, two small moth nips along the edge that do not detract, wool felt remains bright, overall very fine condition.
