Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II "bush" jacket made in the China-Burma-India theatre. The jacket is lightweight in a shirt-weight material. It has a two patches, one in silk and one in twill, as well as a wing and collar insignia and bars embroidered directly upon the cloth.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

No tag: approximate size 34.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton, one twill patch embroidered in cotton/silk threads, one silk patch embroidered in same, resin buttons.

ATTACHMENT:

Buttons.

MARKINGS:

RITCHIE on interior label.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-CC-AEJX10 LBIEX3/11 RET4/11

CONDITION:

6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The jacket has some areas of light staining on the back of the left arm and in two of the pocket areas, and a few minor holes. mostly on the back.
