ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II Royal Air Force wireless air gunner wing for battle dress. It is a single wing and a wreathed "RAF" with "WAG" and a royal crown above.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

2-3/8" height and 3-11/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads with mesh backing.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a Royal Air Force wing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VGX10 LAAEXSAAEX6/10

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): Wing shows very little wear.
