ARTIFACT:

This is a Circa 1944 beautiful, iconic United States Army Air Forces Senior Pilot Wing in sterling silver by Josten - a winged US Shield topped with a five-point star and the reverse shows a maker mark that reads: "JOSTEN STERLING"

VINTAGE:

Circa 1944.

SIZE:

Approximately: 3" in width x 1-1/8" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Lacquered sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts with clutch-backs.

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine - Excellent): The wing shows minor wear, most of the lacquered details remain intact, with some peppered patination. Overall excellent condition.
