Description
SUBJECT: This is a World War II Defense Bond Club celluloid pin for the Bell Aircraft P-39 Division. A prolific aircraft manufacturer, Bell became most known for producing the first supersonic aircraft, the Bell X-1. The pin shows a P-39 aircraft with three red stars above.
VINTAGE: Circa World War II.
SIZE: Approximately 13/16 in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Celluloid-wrapped tin with paper backing.
ATTACHMENT: Horizontal straight pin with catch.
