ARTIFACT: Great WWII Belgian Liberation Pin from 1944, the only one I've seen. The oval shaped pin features ornate engravings of the United States, United Kingdom, U.S.S.R., and Free French flags on a wreath of laurel leaves topped with a dove of peace and reads: "BELGIE 1944". The center of the pin features a black and white period photograph of a street scene in Brussels.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in length x 1-3/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Two piece construction, gilt brass, photo paper.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Donation pin shows light to moderate wear, the photo remains intact showing no discoloration, nearly all the gilt details remain fully intact.
