This is a rank insignia for a United States Army Air Forces PFC rate from World War I. The patch is on a nice heathered wool and shows a winged propeller embroidered in brown at center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in cotton/silk threads with partial mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:The sleeve rate you receive will either be this one or one in comparable shape. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LBDX10/11
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The sleeve rate has some small spots of mothing but otherwise shows light wear.
