Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a banner given to an American family whose son served in a World War I machine gun company. Banner is gold and shows a single star flag at center with a mounted machine gun at bottom.

VINTAGE:

Circa WWI.

SIZE:

9" height and 5" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt with hand-embroidered silk or cotton thread.

ATTACHMENT:

Attached brass eyelet hanger.

CONDITION:

9- (Excellent+): Color is virtually its original hue with just about no wear evident. Small smudge on reverse.
