Large WWI Son-in-Service Pin

ARTIFACT:

This is World War I United States Army son-in-service pin. The pin shows a large blue star within a red-bordered rectangle.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/16" in height and 9/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS:

None.
