Description
This is a circa World War I Prussian Naval enlisted pilot grouping which includes a great photograph of three men and their aircraft labeled "Im Wasserflugzeug" ("In the seaplane"). The trio is posing in various spots along one of the wings and on top of a pontoon. Along with the photograph comes a pair of very nice shoulder boards with enameled brass anchor insignia. The grouping also includes two Militarpass (Militrpa§), or service record booklets. The booklets have several period inscriptions and stamps within, and originally belonged to Martin Lange. Lange earned the Flieger Abzeichen (Pilot Badge) and the EKII medal (Eisernes Kreuz II Klass Iron Cross 2nd Class).
