Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a sterling silver World War I era United States Navy miniature officer pin by Paye and Baker of Massachusetts on an original card. The pin is two crossed anchors with an eagle atop a crest.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 9/16" in height and 5/8" in width; card is 1-3/4" by 2-1/8".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, oaktag.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

P&B (Paye & Baker mark) on card.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

7- (Very Fine-): The pin shows some light wear and tarnish with some oxidation on reverse.
