ARTIFACT:

WWI "Church War Cross" given by US Chaplains to Christian doughboys. Bordered with a decorative circle, the cross is in an openwork design and has a smaller encircled cross in each of its quadrants. The front of the cross reads CHRIST DIED FOR THEE.

Circa WWI.

SIZE:

1" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Suspension loop.
