ARTIFACT: Wonderful WWII United States Army Air Forces 4th Air Force McChord Field Restricted Area pass badge in celluloid by Bastian Bros. Co. in Rochester, New York. The center of the oval badge shows an outline of a shield and within it, a winged circle showing a white five point star with a yellow center. The shield also shows the number: "2737" in blue detail against white and surrounding it reads: "RESTRICTED AREA McCHORD FIELD" – McChord Field is near Tacoma, Washington. Along the bottom are union labels and a maker's mark that reads: "BASTIAN BROS. CO. ROCHESTER, N.Y."

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" x 1-3/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid, steel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety style pin.

MARKINGS: "ALLIED PRINTING TRADES COUNCIL UNION LABEL ROCHESTER, N.Y.", "BASTIAN BROS. CO. ROCHESTER, N.Y.", "IPEU 288"

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The pass shows moderate to heavy surface wear and oxidation/patina on the reverse, the colors remain bright, overall very fine condition.
