ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful World War II US Navy V-5 Pilot Training Program Son-in-Service pin from 1943-44. This pin has an SIS part that is made to look like an aircraft mark.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" x 3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling plated and enameled brass

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pins with locking drop in swivel catches.

MARKINGS: "NAVY V-5. STERLING. DES PAT134,486. STERLING. B.B. CO. ROCH. N.Y."

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine -): The enamel is in great shape, but the plating on the shield has been worn off over the years
