ARTIFACT:
This is a wonderful Old West circa 1881 "Stock" Deputy Sheriff Six Point Star Badge. This badge was most likely made by Sachs-Lawlor of Denver, Colorado, and would be one of their earliest production badges. It has a simple design to it and has seen some wear over the years.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1881.
SIZE:
Size: 2" in height x 1-3/4" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Nickel plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:
One piece vertical safety style pin with open C type catch
MARKINGS:
N/A although it is possible that a Maker Mark could be under the large solder pool on back.
