ARTIFACT: Wonderful, late 1930's sepia tone 7" x 11" photo of the Winchester, Massachusetts boat club, boat house by George Brayton in Arlington, MA. The image shows members enjoying the water's edge and patio, the background shows fantastic cars and bicycles of the period. The private club is located on Upper Mystic Lake in Winchester, it was originally founded in 1900 as a canoe club and is still accepting memberships and today offers sailing, swimming and other recreational and social activities. To join, one must be sponsored by a current member in good standing.
