ARTIFACT:

This is a Wonderful & Extremely Rare circa 1943 Royal Air Force Transport Command Pilot Wing in Sterling made by Murphy of Montreal Canada.

RAF Transport Command was a Royal Air Force command that controlled all transport aircraft of the RAF. It was established on 25 March 1943 by the renaming of the RAF Ferry Command and was subsequently renamed RAF Air Support Command in 1967

VINTAGE:

Circa 1943.

SIZE:

Approximately: 1" in height x 2-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Royal Blue Enameled Sterling.

ATTACHMENT:

Two screw post with disc backing.
