ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful Dunn's Patent Christian Aspersorium/Aspergillum holy water storage and dispensing device that was patented to May 16, 1876. This is an interesting piece, as it is able to both hold the holy water and sprinkle it, along with the beautiful design on the crosses around the container part of the device

VINTAGE: Circa 1876.

SIZE: About 13" x 2-1/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wood, glass, brass

ATTACHMENT: The top screws off to allow filling with holy water.

MARKINGS: "DUNN'S PAT. MAY 16' 76"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Church collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAAEM17 LEGEX4/17 PSLEHEX05/10/20 SDGEX06/03/20

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine - Excellent): It shows its age excellently, the wood is in great condition, the glass is relatively clear, and the brass is relatively clean. There is a dent on the Aspergillum (Dispenser) part of the device.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
