Description
This is a unique piece: a wonderful walking stick from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The stick is very delicate looking, but is cleverly made of a heavy spring with an intricately woven covering concealing the steel spring body and lead-loaded "sap" type handle (a sap is used as a self-defense weapon,). The tip of the stick has a bronze outer covering. This would be a very lethal self-defense weapon.
