Description
Wonderful circa 1952 United States Air Force 21st Troop Carrier Squadron (Heavy) the "Bee Liners" Japanese-made cigarette lighter by Corona. The lighter features an enameled disc that shows a bumble bee carrying cargo and supplies and reads: "21st T.C.S. (H) BEE LINERS". The lighter was made while the squadron was located at Tachikawa in Japan. The front reads: "21st TROOP CARRIER SQDN (H) TACHIKAWA JAPAN" and the reverse shows the Squadron's nickname: "BEE liners" in red painted detail with a blank area for engraving. The bottom of the lighter shows the maker's mark: "CORONET CORONA M.F.G. CO."

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The lighter shows minor to moderate wear, wick is missing, much of the enamel and painted details remain intact.
