Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a wonderful 1945 867th Bomb Squadron, 494th Bomb Group, 7th Air Force patch. The illustration is a caracature of FDR, a logo they adopted in 1945 after his death. The squadron flew B-25 and B-24 aircraft.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1945.

SIZE:

About 5-1/8" in width by 5-3/4" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton embroidery thread on wool felt.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto garment.
