This is a Wonderful 1920's US Border Patrol Threepersons Style Pistol Holster with a Border Patrol Button RIVETED in place.
Apparently the Southwestern Border in the 1920's was not too different from that same border in he 1880's, and gunfighting was still commonplace, so, Cherokee Indian and El Paso Texas Lawman Tom Threepersons developed this type of holster with a low cut to expose the trigger for faster drawing and firing times.
VINTAGE:
1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 9-1/4" in height x 5-5/8" in width. Button: 1-1/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel Button & Leather, cotton thread.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine - Very Fine): The holster shows moderate wear and small crack on leather under the button, and the left side of the belt loop, and Leather is supple and button shows great patina. Overall, it is in fine condition.
As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
