ARTIFACT: This is a sterling silver lapel pin for the 1947 Diamond Belt Boxing Championship held by the Philadelphia Inquirer, the nation's third longest-running newspaper. The pin reads PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER 1947 DIAMOND BELT CHAMPIONSHIP and shows two boxers, one landing a right jab.

VINTAGE: Circa 1947.

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with blue and yellow enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.
