ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1930s worker badge for the Sealed Power Corporation. Begun as the Piston Ring Company, the Michigan company changed its name to Sealed Power Corporation in 1931. The company is currently known as SPX Corporation, but the Sealed Power division was acquired by Dana Corporation in the late 1990s. The oval badge has a very Art Deco design and is numbered 2217.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: 2217

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has some small spots of wear on the reverse only.
