This is a great old circa 1900 newspaper boy badge for the Courier News of Elgin, Illinois. The newspaper merged with the Elgin Daily News in 192The badge is shield-shaped and is numbered 24.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:24 on front.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge has some very light abrasions and almost all the blacking from the lettering is gone.
