ARTIFACT: This is a great old circa 1900 newspaper boy badge for the Courier News of Elgin, Illinois. The newspaper merged with the Elgin Daily News in 1925. The badge is shield-shaped and is numbered 24.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: 24 on front.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an early newspaper boy badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAJJX13 LBDEX11/13 SeBHEX4/15

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge has some very light abrasions and almost all the blacking from the lettering is gone.
