This is a very rare American-made pocket patch for the United States Army 502nd Airborne (Parachute Infantry Regiment), also known as the "Widowmakers". The patch is a winged, grinning skull on a parachute and has red, white and blue concentric borders.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:3-3/4" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads with mesh backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-LL-LHJJX10 LAAEJX10/10 RET9/14
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Patch has light wear, and slight overall soiling on white threads.
