Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Very Fine Example World War I Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class with a nice Long Ribbon. Originally a Prussian decoration, the award was conferred for bravery in action and other meritorious military acts.


This example of the EKII is marked FR on the suspension ring, for the manufacturing firm of Frank & Reif of Stuttgart. 

VINTAGE:

World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately Iron Cross: 1-11/16" in height x 1-11/16" in width. Ribbon: 3-1/4" in length x 1-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver Plated, Tombak and internal part of the cross is made of iron, silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT:

Ribbon.

MARKINGS:

FR on the suspension ring.

CONDITION:
