Description
This is a United States Marine Corps unit history entitled: "Follow Me! The Story of the 2nd Marine Division in World War II", by Richard W. Johnston. Anchored in the Pacific Theatre of Operations, the 2nd engaged in significant battles such as Guadlacanal right through Okinawa. Several photographs illustrate the activities of the 2nd, and a few are very graphic aftermath shots. The book has its original dust jacket (partial), although it is torn and one flap has torn away from the main part. A 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" period photograph of a Marine in uniform came with the book: it is perhaps an image the book's original owner (last image, above).
