Description
This is a very cool unidentified circa World War I or 1920's eagle badge, cast from or modeled after a French "Fix" wing. The item is most likely a hat badge, and is possibly for an Eastern European Air Force or Aviation Corps. The wings on the eagle curve back slightly and the badge is very three-dimensional.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I - 1920's.
SIZE:Approximately 5/8" in height and 2-9/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post, disc backing, clip (one clip is missing).
MARKINGS:None.
