This is a pin made by Meyer for the United States Army Air Forces 6th Bomber Group. Pin is the head of a swashbuckler with a banner beneath him reading PARATI DEFEFENDERE or "Ready to Defend."

Circa World War II.

1-1/8" height by 1-1/2" width.

Plated brass with several colors of enamel.

Pin with backing disc.

MEYER NEW YORK with Meyer's shield-shaped maker's mark on reverse.
