This is a pin made by Meyer for the United States Army Air Forces 6th Bomber Group. Pin is the head of a swashbuckler with a banner beneath him reading PARATI DEFEFENDERE or "Ready to Defend."
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:1-1/8" height by 1-1/2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with several colors of enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Pin with backing disc.
MARKINGS:MEYER NEW YORK with Meyer's shield-shaped maker's mark on reverse.
