This is a United States 5th Army Deco belt buckle from the 1940's. The 5th Army saw combat largely in the Mediterranean during World War II and has since been renamed United States Army North. The buckle shows the silhouette of a Byzantine-style domed building labeled A5.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940's.
SIZE:Approximately 1-13/16" in height and 2-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Buckle loop.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The buckle is overall in terrific shape but has some small areas of light to medium wear where some paint has come off.
