This is a beautiful and unique 1945 Municipal Motorcycle Officers of California MMOC Director's lapel badge.
The unmarked gold-fill on sterling silver badge is named to O. W. Nolton in hard-fired blue enamel.
MMOC has been around since 1928, and still promotes traffic safety in the Golden State.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1945 (World War II).
SIZE:Approximately 1-9/16" in height x 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-fill on sterling silver (unmarked), hard-fired enameled details.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
