ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified ca 1963 "bailout" pin made in Britain. The pin is triangular in a beautiful red enamel basketweave pattern and shows a parachute at center under the letters MBA. Possibly for a Military Parachutists Association, or an association of those who have had to "Bail Out" of an aircraft using a parachute. It is possible that the organization this pin represents could have existed as early as WWII, or earlier, but this pin was manufactured in 1963.

SIZE: 11/16" height and 13/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver with enamel.

MARKINGS: F&S ( Firmin & Sons ) maker's mark, and lion, anchor and a slanted "O" marks: the Birmingham Hallmark for Silver produced in 1963.
