This is a theatre-made United States Army Air Forces pilot wing in leather. This wing belonged to Weldon Armstrong of the 5th Air Force, a P-61 Black Widow pilot.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:About 3-1/4" in width by 1-5/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted leather.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a large collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. REJL05 LADJL07
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Some cracking to gray paint but leather is soft and supple.
