ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of the "The Saga of the Mountain Soldiers: The Story of the 10th Mountain Division" by Curtis Casewit. The book has black and white photographs throughout of the elite mountain warfare group that served in the Italian Campaign. This book was published in 1981 by Casewit, a ski writer by trade who became interested in the history of these alpine "daredevils".

VINTAGE: Published 1981.

SIZE: 159 pages; approximately 8-1/2" in height and 5-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Glossy paperboard cover, paper.
