Description

ARTIFACT: This is a stunning example of a rare World War II CPT (Civilian Pilot Training) instructor wing. The Civilian Pilot Training program grew out of a desire for preparedness and evolved later into the War Training Service after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The wing is in unmarked sterling silver and still retains most of its original frosting and lacquer. It is a very long wing at almost 3-3/4” in width.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16" in height and 3-11/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.
