This is a Stunning, Minty, & Rare WWI Imperial German Naval Land Pilot Badge by Carl Dillenius. MINTY, heavy gilt bronze badge. Clearly marked on signature type pin near hinge. Impossible to upgrade.
This badge has been Published in Previtera on pages 158 - 162, and Pandis on page 4Originally listed as "Quadrat" for the open square maker mark, but now known with certainty to have been produced by Carl Dillenius.
VINTAGE:
Circa WWI.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" in height x 1-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt Bronze.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with 'C' catch.
