Stunning Handmade Chinese Patch for US Army 5307th Composite Unit (Prov) Merrill's Marauders

This is a stunning handmade Chinese shoulder patch for the United States Army 5307th Composite Unit, aka "Merrill's Marauders" (named for brigadier general Frank Merrill). The patch is shaped like a shield and divided into two blue and two green quadrants, with a white sun and star separated by a diagonal red lightning bolt. Featured at the top is a lettered rocker reading MERRILLS MARAUDERS in Art Deco style.

Circa World War II.

3-13/16 in height and 2-13/16" in width.

Cotton embroidered with cotton/silk threads and muslin backing.
