ARTIFACT:
This is a shoulder patch for the United States Army 5307th Composite Unit, aka "Merrill's Marauders" (named for brigadier general Frank Merrill). Used and Removed from uniform. The patch is shaped like a shield and divided into quadranttwo blue and two green. It reads MERRILLS MARAUDERS and shows a white sun and star separated by a diagonal red lightning bolt.

Circa WWII.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-3/4" height and 2-13/16" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton threads.
