ARTIFACT:
This is a medal grouping for eventual United States Army Colonel, Henry H. Hall, of Rowley, Massachusetts. Most of the medals date from the Spanish-American War through World War I, with some later medals as well (latest one in 1949). The following medals included in this grouping: a numbered Military Order of the Moro Campaigns; a Sons of the American Revolution War with Spain Medal (1898); a Spanish War service medal; a Spanish-American War medal for service from the State of Connecticut (1898); a numbered United States Army Philippine Insurrection medal (1899); a First Class Marksman Connecticut National Guard medal for .45 calibre rifle (1899); a Spanish War Veteran medal (1902); A World War I service medal (1918); an American Legion Past Commander medal (1920s); an American Legion 12th National Boston Convention medal (1930); a Spanish War Veteran medal (1949). Also included are two flags, several black and white photographs/postcards showing primarily France, as well as Manila, New York and Halifax, various ribbons, a Marksman insignia, three sets of collar insignia (one for 36th Infantry), a pair of lieutenant colonel leaves, and a Philippine Constabulary (PC) World War I officer hat badge.
VINTAGE:
Circa Spanish-American War through World War I (a few later medals Ðthrough 1949).
SIZE:
Moro Campaign medal: approximately 3-3/16" in height and 1-1/2" in width; larger flag: 16-1/2" by 12-1/4"; medal envelopes are all 3-3/8" by 6"; other items are of various sizes.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Most medals: bronze, silk; First Class Marksman medal: gilt brass, enamel; flags: silk/cotton; other items are of various materials.
ATTACHMENT:
Sons of the American Revolution War with Spain Medal: suspension ring only; other items have various attachments, mostly ribbons and pins on bars.; most insignia have pins with tongue-style catches.

8- (Overall Very Fine-Excellent): The items are overall in excellent condition (Connecticut medal only has some spots of light oxidation).
