ARTIFACT:

Cold War, late 1940's - early 1950's Sonoma County, California Civil Defense Auxiliary Police badge from Petaluma. The ball-tipped star shaped badge reads: "SONOMA COUNTY C. D. AUX. POLICE PETALUMA" and is numbered "59".

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1940's - early 1950's

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/2" in height x 2-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel plated brass with black paint.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with safety style catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

8+ (Excellent): Badge shows light wear mostly on high points, much of the plating and painted details remain fully intact.
