This is a small circa World War II Rohr Aircraft Corporation Fire Brigade badge, possibly for a hat. Rohr Aircraft was begun in 1940 by Fred Rohr, the man who produced the fuel tanks for the famous Spirit of St. Louis. The badge is beautifully enameled in white and red and shows fire equipment at its center.
Circa World War II.
Approximately 1 in diameter.
Gilt brass, enamel.
Single screw post with disc backing.
This is from a fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VBEP13 LHEX8/13
7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has a few very tiny dings to the enamel.
As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
