This is a circa 1911 nursing pin from St. Luke's Hospital of New York City by Schumann & Sons. The St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing was incorporated in 1898, just over a half century after the birth of St. Luke's Hospital (now St. Luke's-Roosevelt) itself. The pin is in silver with a white enameled cross at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1911.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:SCHUMANN & SONS.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some small areas of light to medium wear and tarnish with all enamel intact.
