ARTIFACT: This is an 1880s-1890s American Express employee lapel pin in silver. The pin reads AMERICAN EXPRESS and shows a shield of stars and stripes at center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1880s-1890s.

SIZE: 5/8 height and 13/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver pin with enamel details and brass backing.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw pin with disc backing and one stabilizer pin.

MARKINGS: THE METAL ARTS CO. INC. ROCHESTER N.Y. on backing.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Pin has moderate abrasion on front.
