Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a great hardcover copy with original dust jacket of the World War II unit history of the United States Army Air Forces 90th Bomb Group, also known as the Jolly Rogers, and according to the book, the "best damn bomber group in the world". Serving in the Southwest Pacific, this famed Liberator unit was a highly decorated group attached to the 5th Air Force. The book has several photos and one color illustrations, and has some great nose art illustrations on the endpapers. The dust jacket is in rough shape but has some great squadron insignia illustrations of the 319th, 320th and 321st and 400th Bombardment Squadrons. The book covers 1942-1944 and was published circa 1944 in Sydney, Australia by John Sands.
